There are a variety of ways you can get involved with and support AFCR:



AFCR Membership
AFCR members receive a quarterly newsletter and discounted admission to some events.  Membership fees are used to support operational costs of the organization such as insurance, room rental and newsletter mailings.  Family memberships are $20 a year or $35 for two years.  Professional memberships are $40 a year.

AFCR
Join this group to receive notification of our upcoming events as well as important adoption announcements that do not coincide with publication of our quarterly newsletter.  To keep volume low, we only allow moderators to post to this list.

AFCR-Chat
Join this group to network with other adoptive parents in the Albany, NY area. 

AFCR-Play
Join this group to learn how you and your child(ren) can participate in playgroups with other adoptive families.  It is a wonder way to make new friends and find out what others are experiencing whether it be related to adoption or general child development and behavior.

Volunteer
AFCR is run exclusively through the generosity and dedication of our volunteers.  We have several board and coordinator positions and we are always looking for more help.  Below is a list of positions we would like to have filled to provide the best possible service to our members. 

We can also use volunteers for short term projects like coordinating a workshop, providing a craft or activity for a cultural event, helping us find entertainment for a cultural event or many other tasks.

Donations
AFCR is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.  Any donations received are used to cover our expenses such as insurance, room rental fees, speaker fees and postage.
